Paper vs. e-books

There are many ways to publish books now. The traditional method, using ink and paper. Print on demand (like I did with Hometown Heroines) that only uses the ink and paper when someone wants to buy the book. Then you have the books available on the Internet, or via download to a Kindle or other handheld device.

I've always wanted to hold my book in my hands when it's published. There is something about holding the glossy hardcover bound book and seeing the lamplight reflect off of it. The smell of the newly printed paper. But with the advent of e-publishing we can save both paper and ink, and thus trees. That's good for the environment. But sad for my heart. (more…)
